Aug 23, 2014 · So I learned this, our Stock bulbs in GMT400's are, 9006 for lowbeams AKA HB4 These are 55 w, and put out 1,000 Lumens. 9005 for Highbeams AKA HB3 (counterintuitive, I know) These are 65w and put out 1700 Lumens. So looking ahead, I learned that the 2015 GMC trucks, use a single type of bulb, the 9012.I have a set of the Toshiba 9011 HIR bulbs. I compared them against the Phillips Ultra bright 9005 bulbs and noticed more light output. But swapped to the HID 6000K bulbs. The HID's illuminated a pure white light.
