The cave contains the Artifact of the Massive, needed to summon the Broodmother. There are dangerous lava pits inside and it's very hot. For the lava golem you can stand at the doorway, fire 2 rockets, bring out your shield and block a possible rock throw, then 2 more rockets. The door is the best spot because it means the rocks will sometimes bounce away from you so you can also save durability on your shield. The Jungle cave is your standard cave - Spiders, bats, centipedes, lava, ect. Lava Golem is rough though - It only melees so you can kite it decently, but its tanky as raptor.
