Hey there, last week I noticed that my pregnancy tests (I've been using the same ones the whole time - pregmate) were getting lighter. On 03/14 my Hcg was 6,000 at 6 weeks. When my lines were getting lighter, my doctor ordered another Hcg test so on 03/21, I got it tested. Hcg was 42,805 at 7 weeks. But now at 8 weeks, my test strips are …
It’s the control line that’s lighter! That’s a good thing! It’s called a “dye stealer” meaning there was so much hcg the test line stole some dye from the control line. Congrats!!! sorry. I’d go that route so you stop worrying. Even when people are testing every 48 hours at 4/5 weeks there’s still so much variation between test brands and even different batches within the same brand. By 8 weeks your HCG is too high to be using line progression at all, it won’t just keep getting darker/pulling dye from the control line indefinitely.
