I hit a puddle on the road and the truck did a 1/4 hydroplane, nothing serious. When that happened the VDC OFF, SLIP, ABS and BRAKE lights all came on. Once I got to work I turned the car off and turned it back on again and the lights were off. However, once I started driving again the lights would come back on 20 feet down the road.

I know the ABS system can get a abnormal battery voltage code some times when the battery is changed. Jay : Some times just removing the negative battery cable for 10 mins may clear it. But if it doesn't, then it will need to be scanned to see what the code is, so it can be corrected.

Put the transmission in N and cycle the 4wd to 4 high or 4 lo. Sometimes you have to move a little put it back to Nuetral and cycle till the light goes off. When the VDC light is on you might've turned on the 4wd without doing it properly and it gets stuck in low range. Hopes this helps.

Ok. It sounds like there is either a problem with one of the cam sensors or the crank sensor. If you have a problem or code for either of these sensors, it will cause the symptoms you have and also the VDC will be disabled. VDC is Vehicle Dynamic Control. It applies the brake to a spinning tire in order to arrest a slide on a slick surface, such as wet concrete or ice. It's not supposed to be used off-road.
