True to size ruler

The problem is that it doesn't print true to size. I created a box (using lines) on my slide that are 7 inches wide and 9 inches long. I used powerpoint's menus to select the exact length of the lines. When I print the slide, the line will be 7.5 inches instead of 7. (I checked with a ruler)
