Waterworks gear the resist is global, meaning it protects you against all schools. Just my opinion. And yes, critical bonus has pretty much become obsolete with the release of Azteca although it does "get through" once in a blue moon.

It also offers 3 item cards, which can be very useful when solo questing. The only downside of it is the slightly lower resist and accuracy compared to Waterworks and House of ...
Until level 100 (darkmoor), some people also like to farm Hades (Tartarus) at 90. But you can skip that honestly. Use it until darkmoor. Almost literally forever, im halfway through Avalon and im still rocking my Waterworks gear. Most gear you get aside from Waterworks is pretty dooki and has no synergy.

It is a super fun dungeon! the one guy at the storm mill, I cant remember his name, but he gives you the quest to get in to crab alley.
