It seems to me that the potion of midnight can be used as a teleport exploit to either get out of any trouble or just fast travel to Waterside in Sepermeru, you will off course teleport to The Midnight Grove, but from there you can jump in to the pond to surface at Waterside lake.The dungeons are unforgiving in this game.
