The smog guys who "don't see" mods on the visual inspection take a significant risk. CARB does not take those who bypass their rules lightly. Tens of thousands of dollars in fines, loss of their license for good, and maybe jailtime. It's easier to find stuff that is CARB compliant and run that. Lol but carb compliant stuff is just not the same ...Here in AZ (in the towns that do smog testing) all emissons test are done at state facilities. So getting a "hot " test is non exhistant. Mechanic shops do have smog check equipment but only so you can have your vehicles tunes to pass the test. I watched once as one shop tuned my rig. They set my timing to 0TDC and cranked the idle up to 1500rpm.
