The glenfield is a 336 that was marketed by western auto, yes its a very good gun. 30-30 : Helping bad fisherman eat since 1895.Marlin has a ramp front sight, the Glenfield uses a front sight dovetailed into the barrel. The Marlins have a little nicer rear sight. Most of the Marlin 336s have a barrel band type forearm, the Glenfields use the end cap type forearm. Jan 7, 2021 · Hello, this is my JM stamped Glenfield 30A which is basically a Marlin 336 but with a cheaper stock and its in great condition. By my research it was made in 1973 based on the serial number. There is still plenty of rifling left so it hasn't been used that much.
